Curriculum
The MA Education at the University of East London is not purely theoretical. All of the teaching sessions and assignments are designed to support you to develop your practice.
You will study theories of teaching and learning – how people learn, what motivates them to learn and how to create independent learners.
Modules also cover ways to support the specific needs of individual learners, and how to plan, implement and evaluate changes in practice.
Crucially, you will look at current thinking. Things move extremely fast in education and we regularly update modules to reflect the most up-to-date policy and research.
The content of modules applies to all teachers, rather than being key stage or subject specific.
Assignments are designed to allow you to personalise your learning. So whatever the context that you work in, you will be able to apply the knowledge gained on the course.
