The University of Bradford has just been named in the top 150 most international universities in the world according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. Within these rankings we were also named 43rd in the UK and number three in Yorkshire.
At the NUS/UKCISA Internationalisation Awards 2015 we won both International Student Adviser of the Year and Excellence in International Student Support.
Being identified as one of the world’s most international universities isn’t just an accolade in a newspaper, internationalisation is at the heart of who we are as a university. Our student community is made up of people from 150 different countries – that’s 15% of our overall student population. We believe in actively encouraging our students to reach their full potential by offering language support, international student societies, careers service, study abroad programmes, and of course, our effective teaching.
We are also heavily involved in international research and teaching collaborations, a feature which not only sets us apart from other universities, but helps us to actively participate in the global market as drivers of the knowledge economy.
As we enter our 50th year, we wanted to let you know how proud we are of our international reputation, and how excited we are that your students will be experiencing our friendly, welcoming and vibrant learning environment for themselves.
Watch the director of our Centre for Diversity Professor Udy Archibong talk about what the University of Bradford means to her.
