  • The role of the Assistant Stage Manager
  • Practical Skills - lighting, sound, set and costume
  • The role of the stage manager in co-ordinating the production
  • Production role – typically as an Assistant Stage Manager
  • Research and analysis of performance and the theatre industry

Year 2

  •  Production Practice - Assistant Stage Manager
  •  Production Practice - Deputy Stage Manager, managing the rehearsal process, cuing the show in performance
  • Event management
  • Management theory and practice
  • Production technologies - you will be introduced to a broad range of technologies used in theatre and the performance industries
  • Research and context

Year 3

  • One or two roles on realised productions such as Stage Manager or Production Manager
  • Independent research project
  • Industry placement
