Entry Requirements

  • Students should ideally hold a National Certificate or National Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, relevant A Levels or an equivalent Level 3 or 4 qualification. Applications are also welcome from those who have relevant industrial experience and other suitable education or training.

Curriculum

The modules that have been developed to make up the programme are benchmarked to be challenging and to establish a knowledge base and develop problem solving skills required by higher technician level and those with aspirations to become an engineer. It has been identified that staff who have developed these skills at this level have a direct impact on a company's bottom line.

The electronics and communication pathway includes electronics, electrical principles, instrumentation, control principles, microprogrammable systems, electronics and communication systems.
