About Greenwich Community College
Greenwich Community College is committed to providing the skills and training needed for the Borough’s residents to fulfil their career potential. The College delivers over 500 courses across 4 centres in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
Apprenticeships are a key focus for GCC, and following a successful pilot project with the Royal Borough of Greenwich, GLLAB and Berkeley Homes, is providing growing numbers of construction trades apprentices to work on the regeneration sites in the area.
English as a Second or other language (ESOL) is a large curriculum area for the College, and is recognised locally as a key area of provision for the Borough.
One of just three colleges in the UK, GCC is part of the National Gaming Academy (alongside North Warwickshire and Hinckley College, and Blackpool and the Flyde College). The College occupies a casino training centre at Charlton Athletic FC stadium, training students to run tables in several casino games..
For the past 16 years GCC has delivered the majority of the Adult and Community Learning contract on behalf of RBG. The College also operates a day nursery for students which received a “good” rating from Ofsted in July 2015.
