Bachelor of Nursing (Hons)
About
Nursing, the largest health profession, plays a crucial role in shaping national health outcomes. As a unique discipline, it seamlessly integrates both art and science. The art of nursing extends beyond theoretical knowledge; it involves skillfully bridging information between healthcare providers and patients, ensuring compassionate and effective communication. Meanwhile, the science of nursing relies on critical thinking and clinical judgment to make informed decisions, enhancing patient care. These combined elements provide nurses with a profound depth of knowledge and expertise, making the profession both intellectually and emotionally fulfilling. Given its essential role in healthcare, nursing remains in high demand both nationally and globally.
UTAR’s Bachelor of Nursing programme is fully approved by the Malaysian Nursing Board and accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency. Designed to equip students with a strong foundation in core sciences and humanities, the programme emphasizes evidence-based practice and comprehensive clinical training. It fosters a holistic approach to patient care while instilling a strong ethical framework for sound decision-making. Upon successful completion of the programme, graduates become eligible to sit for the Malaysian Nursing Board Examination, obtaining licensure to practice as Registered Nurses.
