Bachelor of Chemical Engineering Technology (Hons) in Food
About
This curriculum uses the concepts of food chemistry and chemical engineering to process food on a big scale. Foods must be safe, devoid of harmful microorganisms and chemical pollutants; they must be nutrient-dense, meaning they must supply the necessary nutrients for development and health; and, if they are to be taken at all, they must be aesthetically pleasing. Students in this program learn how to modify typical chemical engineering unit operations to meet the unique needs of food processing. The primary goal of this curriculum is to enable skilled chemical engineers to work in the food industry, which may be one of Malaysia's biggest industrial sectors. UniKL alumni are employable after graduation.
