Given the interest that many Malaysian students have for a study abroad opportunity in London, we were recently pleased to welcome Professor Anne Moran, the Pro Vice-Chancellor of Global Engagement and Jim Moreland, Senior Lecturer (Science Education) from St Mary's University Twickenham, in south west London. During their visit, they met with Professor Perry Hobson, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Global Engagement, Angela Pok, Vice President of Student Experience and Jayvien Lau, Head of the Global Mobility Office to discuss a range of student mobility and exchange opportunities. Angela Pok had initially met with Professor Moran at the NAFSA international education conference in Boston earlier in the year, and this was a follow-up visit. Originally established in 1850 as a Catholic teacher training college, St Mary's has a 165-years of history during which time it established a well-deserved reputation for academic excellence – particularly for education. Today, St Mary's University has grown to around 6,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students across four academic Schools.
