AppliedHE, in collaboration with Sunway University, is thrilled to host the inaugural AppliedHE Xchange: Recognising Excellence, Diversity, and Impact. Scheduled from 17-19 November 2024 at Sunway University, Kuala Lumpur, this significant event will gather thought leaders, academic professionals, and industry experts from across the globe to engage in a forward-looking dialogue on higher education’s role in shaping a diverse, impactful, and inclusive world.
This marks AppliedHE’s first seminar in Malaysia and represents a milestone in the country’s growing prominence as a global education hub. It is the third major educational event hosted this year, following the Planetary Health Annual Meeting (PHAM) 2024 and the Times Higher Education (THE) Asia Universities Summit 2024.
The event will showcase the launch of the AppliedHE Public & Private University Ranking: ASEAN 2025, celebrating universities across Southeast Asia that are excelling in academic performance and societal impact. Attendees will also gain exclusive insights with a briefing on the upcoming AppliedHE Public & Private University Ranking: ALL ASIA 2026, which will extend the rankings to cover institutions in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and beyond, further elevating the platform’s global reach.
In addition to the rankings, this event will introduce the AppliedHE Leaders in Education Club (App.LE Club), an international association dedicated to fostering cooperation, promoting dialogue, and sharing best practices across all facets of higher education.
Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with ranking experts, including Professor Kevin Downing, Chair of the Ranking Advisory Board, and Dr. Pieter Stek, Chief Analyst, who will share their expertise and address questions.
