The Foundation in Science and Technology (FIST) at Sunway College is a premier pre-university program under the Sunway Foundation Programme (SFP), offering students a direct pathway to Sunway University and other top institutions. Typically, the FIST program lasts for one year (2 semesters).
Designed to build a strong foundation in science and technology, FIST prepares students for undergraduate studies in medicine, psychology, biomedicine, and various engineering fields such as mechanical, civil, chemical, and mechatronics engineering.
Upon successful completion of the FIST program, students can enroll in various degree programs at Sunway University or other institutions.

Intakes
Entry Requirements
To enroll in the Foundation in Science and Technology (FIST) at Sunway College, students must meet the following academic and language proficiency requirements:
1. Educational Qualifications
- SPM / IGCSE / O-Levels / GCSE: Minimum of 5 credits, including Mathematics and one Science subject (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, or Biology).
- A-Levels: At least 1 pass may be considered based on overall performance.
- International Qualifications: Students with equivalent secondary education qualifications (e.g., IB Diploma, ICSE, HSC) will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
2. English Language Proficiency
- SPM English: Minimum credit.
- IELTS: Minimum 5.5.
- TOEFL: At least 550 (PBT) / 70 (IBT).
Other recognized English proficiency tests may be considered.
