About
Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences (Hons) (ODL) focusses on the functions of the human body's cells, organs, and systems—an intriguing and ever-evolving field that is crucial to comprehending and treating illnesses in people. Biomedical science will continue to be crucial to the provision of healthcare as long as new disease strains appear that negatively impact the health of our populations. The field of biomedical science will therefore continue to flourish, particularly in Malaysia where the healthcare system has experienced significant expansion.
This program's objective is to help students orient and develop themselves in areas of specific professional interest in an organised manner. The goal is to impart the foundational knowledge necessary to develop the abilities required for successful career advancement and in turn, making graduates trainable and employable. Training students in laboratory skills, such as experiment preparation, data collection, management, and analysis of a chosen research subject are among the main components in the curriculum. Asynchronous e-learning (online learning resources), synchronous e-learning (online instruction), in-person lectures and tutorials, and practical sessions (at the learning centres) are some of the delivery methods.
