Curriculum

Electrical and electronics engineers develop and maintain the power systems, control plants and communications systems that ensure all types of industries can operate and stay afloat.

On this course you’ll learn the principles underpinning this vital profession and develop the practical skills needed to apply your knowledge in the workplace. For example, you’ll learn to design and construct a coherent testing project using established techniques and solve problems as part of a team.

You’ll learn about control theories, electrical and communication systems, computing techniques, analogue and digital circuit design, microprocessor systems, software engineering, embedded systems, digital signal processors and radio frequency design.

You’ll also learn about the economic, social and environmental context in which engineers operate and you’ll hone your skills using industry-standard hardware and software. You'll develop your research and problem-solving capabilities by working on your own projects and as part of a team.
