Master of Architecture
About
The Master of Architecture (M.Arch) is a professional training program that leads to Part II accreditation by the Majlis Akreditasi dan Pendidikan Senibina (MAPS) Malaysia and the Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM). This program serves as a continuation of the BSc (Honours) in Architecture, equipping graduates with the necessary skills and knowledge for a professional career in architecture. After gaining industry experience, graduates are eligible to sit for the LAM Part III examination.
The M.Arch program emphasizes architectural design, technology integration, sustainable building design, urban planning, research, and professional practice. Students are expected to apply their knowledge in these areas through their Final Design Thesis. The program maintains a strong connection with architectural firms and practicing architects, who play an active role in shaping the curriculum, providing training, and contributing to the teaching process. This ensures a well-balanced integration of theory and practice, preparing graduates for the dynamic demands of the architecture profession.
