About
The Bachelor of Education program is structured to enable students to effectively specialize in Mathematics, Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL), or Bahasa Melayu. The program is geared towards equipping future educators or trainees with comprehensive knowledge, practical skills, accountability, ethical conduct, and the ability to meet the diverse demands of advancing their careers.
Prior to entering the workforce, a Bachelor of Education qualification from UNITAR provides students with hands-on exposure to real-life projects and coursework, facilitating a deeper understanding of educational matters. Furthermore, students are offered opportunities for internships and practical experiences with industry professionals, offering invaluable insights into their chosen areas of focus.
The program offers three majors: Bahasa Melayu, Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL), and Mathematics.
There are employment opportunities for practicum placements in various types of schools, including Public, Private, and International Schools such as Tenby, APS, Fairview, and Hibiscus.
A hybrid teaching practicum is available, allowing students to gain experience in both Public and Private schools in Malaysia.
Through APEL (Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning), students can leverage their prior learning experiences to gain admission, potentially reducing their study duration and costs.
