Entry Requirements
5 GCSEs at Grade C or above including Maths and English, together with evidence of at least 12 years of education e.g. partial completion of A Level, BTEC, International Baccalaureate or Access course.
Students must be aged 17 or over
IELTS 5.5 or above.
Curriculum
This qualification comprises a mix of compulsory core units (5 units) and optional units. All units have a credit value of 12. To achieve the qualification, a student must pass all 5 mandatory units, in addition to 2 of the 3 optional units.
Semester 1 is taught from January to March and is spent studying five compulsory units. Learners who have already achieved GCSE Maths at Grade A-C will be exempt from the Mathematics and Statistics for Business unit. Therefore they will be awarded the 12 credits for this unit and only 4 units will be studied in Semester 1.
Semester 2 is taught from April to June and students will study 2 core modules and 2 optional modules. Learners who wish to take the Mathematical and Statistical Concepts, Theory and Practice optional unit must have achieved GCSE Maths at Grade A-C as a prerequisite for taking this unit.
