About
The Bachelor of Psychological Science is designed to prepare graduates to embark on a career in psychology and related professions. This degree is accredited with the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC). Upon graduation, students intending to become psychologists can apply to continue their studies in one of our APAC accredited fourth-year programs: Graduate Diploma of Psychology or Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours). Alternatively, you may wish to pursue a career in a related profession.

Successful completion of Australian Year 12, or overseas equivalent
English language requirement
Overall Academic IELTS score of 7.0, with no band less than 6.5, or equivalent.
Curriculum
As part of your major studies in psychology, you will study a range of subjects which examine complexities of human thought and behaviour, including developmental psychology, cognitive psychology, social psychology, abnormal psychology, and personality. As part of your minor studies, you will have the option of studying a diverse range of subjects including philosophy, sociology, and historical and heritage studies.
You will also graduate from this program with a host of transferable skills which will be valuable in your professional and personal lives, including communication skills, research skills, and high level of problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Major studies: abnormal psychology, cognitive psychology, current issues in psychology, introduction to psychology, introduction to research methods in psychology, lifespan developmental psychology, logic and reasoning, personality, psychological testing and assessment, social psychology, statistical methods.
