Entry Requirements

  • Review one episode from one of the following series: Australian Story, Who Do You Think You Are or Bondi Vet. Describe how the storyline/s in it have been constructed (max. 300 words).

Curriculum

Subject 1: Documentary
The subject aims to give students knowledge of the narrative and production aspects of documentary. Students are introduced to the key conventions of documentary storytelling and its fundamental production techniques.

Subject 2: Constructed Reality
The subject aims to give students an understanding of constructed reality, including the different genre elements. Students are introduced to fundamental research skills and are given the opportunity to develop skills in capturing image and sound. 

Subject 3: Studio
The subject aims to give students an understanding of the production process for studio-based formats, from character and background stories, through to the way format parameters determine production workflow.
